Where to stay
while you train
Pokhara has somewhere to stay at every budget. Tell us how long you're here and we'll point you at the right options.
Staying in Pokhara
Sorting your
stay
Most people training with us book their own accommodation nearby. Pokhara is well set up for it: there is a lot of choice within a short ride of the gym, and prices drop sharply once you stay longer than a few nights.
If you tell us your dates and roughly what you want to spend, we can suggest where to look and what to avoid. It costs you nothing and saves the usual first-night mistake of booking somewhere an hour away.
Worth knowing
- Book the first few nights only; it's easier to judge the area once you're here.
- Monthly rates are almost always negotiable, and rarely advertised online.
- Ask about hot water and power backup before you commit to a long stay.
- Staying within walking distance makes twice-a-day training far more likely to happen.
Options nearby
The usual choices
- Guesthouses
- Small family-run guesthouses are the most common choice for trainees staying a week or two, and most are a short walk or ride from the gym.
- Hostels
- Budget dorms and private rooms, useful if you're travelling solo and want to meet other people passing through Pokhara.
- Monthly rentals
- For long stays, monthly apartment rentals work out far cheaper than nightly rates. Worth asking us before you book anything long-term.
- Lakeside hotels
- More comfort and more amenities, a little further from the gym but close to the restaurants and the water.
We don't take commission on any of this and we don't run a booking service. This is just what people training here tend to do.
